Welcome
“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
What is the Gospel? Who is Jesus Christ? What is Christianity all about?

Our Mission
Our mission is to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with all people and to help them grow in their faith.
Our Mission
The disciple is never greater than the master. Jesus stated his mission early on in his ministry as one of proclaiming good news to the poor, release for the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind and freedom for the oppressed. That is exactly our mission.
We want to speak about Jesus and explain why he lived and died on the cross as a substitute for sinners. We make no apology for our desire that people embrace the teaching of Jesus, be brought to a point of repentance and become followers of Jesus.
To achieve this, our goal is to establish a healthy gospel church for every community in Southern Africa. We are aligned with the Free Church of Scotland that has a global perspective.
The Free Church of Southern Africa is the engine of mission and a base for each member to be effective multipliers of the message. All subsequent growth comes by the power of God.
Mission is not what we do, it’s what we are.

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to share the love of God, give hope to the hopeless and spread the gospel.

The Church maintains its witness mainly with in the Eastern Cape Province but also has congregations in Western Cape Province.
Most of the congregations have church buildings. The Church’s financial affairs are administered by a General Treasurer under the guidance of a Finance Committee responsible to the General Assembly.
The Title Deeds to certain churches and Permission to Occupy documents for other churches are deposited with the Church’s law agents. The Authority to hold and deal with immovable property on behalf of the Free Church in Southern Africa is vested in the Church Trustees. The latter are appointed from time to time by the General Assembly to whom they must report annually. Property may be held only for purposes consistent with the confessional standards of the church.
